Our Philosophy

THE GOOD SPACE PILATES & YOGA STUDIO promotes the strength of Pilates and the flexibility of Yoga. Combined or alone each system meets the needs of our fast-paced, competitive and stressful lives. The strength to withstand the pressure and the flexibility needed to change in a high-tech world evolving faster every day. Strength and Flexibility – Pilates and Yoga, the physical and mental ingredients for optimal health and sustained quality of life.

Why Choose The Good Space?

The Good Space has the advantage of highly certified instructors, as well as the best Pilates equipment available, in a private, exclusive studio environment. We offer small group classes limited to 5-15 students and a wide variety of training options: movement exercise, Yoga, Pilates, Reformer, group classes, private and semi-private sessions.

The Good Space's intention, attitude and motivation has always been connecting the mind and the body to transform negative and limited behavior patterns and self-concepts while improving your health and heart at the same time.

The Good Space is committed to teaching movement systems like Pilates and Yoga because of their direct and powerful impact on self-esteem. As the name suggests, The Good Space is found in the heart, and with much gratitude and devotion, our passion and message is to bring out the beauty and potential each of us has to offer; for our self, our family, our community, our world... Renew, Invigorate & Heal

Pilates & Yoga relieve chronic stress patterns and refresh the body by relieving muscle strain.  Furthermore, Pilates & Yoga increase mind-body awareness, help center attention, sharpen concentration and allow the body to renew, invigorate and heal. Stretching and toning muscles, spine, and joints has been proven to lead to better health by directing blood and oxygen to the internal organs, glands and nerves.  Done correctly, Pilates & Yoga can generate motion and circulation without causing strain and imbalance in the body.  Pilates™ movements provide a fitness approach from the inside out. Your body will benefit, your mind will benefit, and your mood will be uplifted.

The Workout:

• Holistic – You will work with mental focus, physical attention, and conscious breathing, with attention to feeling the work at every level.

• Efficient – systematic and organized with just a few repetitions for each movement

• Time Saving – Pilates said “an hour and in the shower”. Regular practice not endless practice will bring you results.

• Balanced – you will stretch and strengthen all of the major muscles in your body in just one session.

• Focuses on quality of movement rather than quantity

• Uses compound dynamic and rhythmic movements rather than isolation exercises

• Versatile – Good for everyone from the de-conditioned to the elite athlete

• Fun – the Peak workout is flowing, functional – and fun!

The Physical Benefits:

• Gentle on the Joints – Pilates devised a sequence which allows the body to work with gravity, gradually easing into the work. This allows for the heart, the spine, and the joints to warm up gradually before taking the gravity challenge.

• Improves body awareness, control, and coordination

• Balances the body’s musculo-skeletal system

• Develops core strength and stability

• Creates a healthy spine

• Enhances appearance by improving posture, movement patterns, and strengthening the body without adding bulk

• Helps prevent and rehabilitate injury

• Aids in developing healthy breathing habits

The Mental Benefits:

• Improves mental concentration

• Develops will

• Increases feelings of self-confidence and self-esteem

• Reduces stress

• Develops discipline

• Increases energy level

The “Spiritual” Benefits:

• Elevates the mood

• Encourages self-acceptance

• Helps cultivate mindfulness

• Physical Mantra-focuses one mind for an entire hour freeing the mind from extraneous thoughts
